The Greatest Story Ever Told

The Greatest Story Ever Told
by Michael S. Clouse

What is the greatest story every told? The story of Moses? The teachings
of Jesus Christ? The life of Gandhi? Perhaps a few good books come to
mind... The Greatest Salesman in the World, by Og Mandino; or James
Allen's masterpiece, As a Man Thinketh? And what about that towering
novel by Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged? True, there are others that could
(and should) have been added to the list... Great people, perhaps even
greater stories—but what is the greatest story ever told?

When Earl Nightingale recorded The Strangest Secret over 80 years ago,
this world was a very different place. Folks grew up, went to school,
got a job, fell in love, married and planned on spending the next 30
plus years of their lives working towards the "Golden Years" of
retirement. Little thought was given to becoming more—after all, that's
just how life worked—30 years ago.

Today, things are changing, and personal development is leading the way.
Homemakers frequent Anthony Robbins seminars. Mark Victor Hansen, along
with Jack Canfield, have become household names through their mega-hit
series Chicken Soup For The Soul, and millions turn on their televisions
every week, to see and hear what advice Dr. Phil will be offering on
Oprah.

Why this sudden urge to experience more out of life than just a
paycheck? How are so many learning to become happier, healthier and live
more successful lives? The answer is personal development.

Located inside Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, gracing the third pillar
to the right, framed and bolted permanently in place, hangs a living
testimony to the awesome power of personal development and, perhaps, one
of the greatest stories ever told. This original letter with the word
"Secret" printed top and bottom in red ink, is now displayed for all the
world to see...

My Definite Chief Aim

I, Bruce lee, will be the first highest paid Oriental Super Star in the
United States. In return I will give the most exciting performances and
render the best of quality in the capacity of an actor. Starting in 1970
I will achieve world fame and from then onward till the end of 1980 I
will have in my possession $10,000,000. I will live the way I please and
achieve inner harmony and happiness. —Bruce Lee, January 1969

Although his life was cut short, Lee lived as he had chosen to live. He
created his own story, and right or wrong, lived it to perfection. So,
what is The Greatest Story Ever Told? With the power of constant and
never-ending improvement, by design, it could be yours!

Therefore, if you too are searching for a bit more out of this thing we
call living—design your life, follow your plan, and always remember: You
are becoming what you think about.

So what are you thinking about now?

All the best,

MSC
