The REAL cause of making money in Network Marketing.

FIRST... I must tell you that the feedback I have been receiving 
regarding what I teach all around the world is most gratifying. 
It only serves to validate that I am on the right track regarding 
providing sound, no hype, advice and guidance to people in all 
the free countries of the world.

There are many who believe that success in network marketing 
is based on setting goals, doing daily affirmations and 
visualizations etc. 

But they are simply WRONG. Perhaps not intentionally, 
but wrong nevertheless.

For example...

A very successful network marketer earning about $60,000 a month 
heard about me and my message and thought it was a great concept 
so she brought me in to speak to one of her groups. There were 
about 1500 of her distributors there. That morning I gave one 
of my very best performances ever and they responded with a 
long and rousing standing ovation. They loved the message I 
shared with them. 

Well, after the morning ended this woman and her husband 
whisked me off to a private meeting over lunch. It was clear 
she was agitated and seemed upset. Once the meal was served 
and the waitress stopped her frequent visits to the table this 
powerhouse of a woman got right to the point. 

She said, "We are very upset at what you taught our people today!" 

A bit shocked, I asked, "Why?" She quickly stated that she 
didn't like the idea that I had told them all to stop doing 
the very things she had been telling them to do for the past 
seven years which included, goal setting, daily affirmations, 
visualization and reading a myriad of motivational self-help 
and how to books.

I am pretty bold and fearless when I have the truth as my 
foundation so I leaned over the table and looked into her 
eyes and asked kindly, but firmly, the following question: 
"Are those the things you did to reach the level of success 
that you now enjoy?" 

I shall never forget what happened next.

This woman is one of the finest human beings you will ever 
meet. She loves truth and has a great deal of integrity. 
Here's what happened next. As soon as I asked her that 
question she turned and looked at her husband for about 
10 seconds... neither said anything.. then she turned back 
to me and quietly shook her head and said, "No."

That didn't surprise me in the least.

I then shared with her something that 
was quite an eye opener to her.

I said, "When you stand in front of your organization and 
tell them that if they will do what you have told them to 
do, they will enjoy the success they seek and that you enjoy, 
they not only accept what you say as gospel truth but embrace 
it enthusiastically. With great gusto and mental commitment 
they set about trying to do all the things you suggested."

"But here is the rub... when a few months, or worse yet, 
a year or two has gone by and they still don't have the 
success they hoped for... They don't question you or the 
methods you suggested. After all you have complete, 
undeniable credibility.

"Who do they question?" 

Themselves. They give themselves negative conclusions they 
don't deserve... like I must not have what it takes or I am 
a failure. Then they get very discouraged, give up and wither 
and die away. Sure they may keep coming to meetings for 
social interaction is, indeed, one of the great benefits 
and attractions that people experience and love... but do 
they earn much money?

Almost always the answer is no. 

If this has happened to you, and I'll bet it has, you can 
change it if you want to with the truths you are learning from me.


FIRST: To stop this from happening to you make sure you 
don't fall into the trap of believing that the techniques 
suggested by a big money earner is the way they did it. 
Don't believe that they are the reason you will succeed. 


There are only four things you must do to make money in 
network marketing. Do these with the right attitude and 
do them consistently and you will make all the money you 
want. So when you hear anything other than this, please 
understand that what you are being taught by these well 
meaning upline and gurus is their way to try to motivate 
you to do these four things consistently. 

1) Believe in and use the product(s)
2) Prospect - i.e. look for interested customers 
and business builders
3) Recruit those who are interested - make the rest 
customers where possible
4) Teach the new recruit what you know

Then.....

Repeat, Repeat, Repeat..... forever.

Training over. 

The mechanics of doing network marketing are really very 
simple aren't they? 

SECOND: Take a close, in-depth and truthful look at your 
real motivations. If they aren't there don't give yourself 
any negative labels. You are NOT stupid. You DO have talent. 
You could learn to do what it takes if you REALLY wanted to. 

You just didn't want to badly enough. Period.

Just acknowledge that you just don't want it badly enough 
to consistently do what it takes, no matter what, including 
making some changes in yourself. That's all. 

If your are truly motivated from within by one or more 
Core Desires to do the business and become what you must 
become then see steps 1 through 4 above and you will begin 
to experience the joy of success.

Another insightful example of the power of 
what I teach is this story.

A very big income earner in network marketing was discussing 
with me her reason for success but when she told it to me it 
was clear that she did not have a clue how to quantify it.

We were talking about whether self-help books were the secret 
to success. She didn't think so. 

She asked me if I had read a specific book about how to be 
successful in network marketing and I told her that I had. It is quite a 
popular book. 

She quickly retorted, "Well I haven't. Well actually... 
I did read the first chapter which was all about how 
critically important it is to discover your WHY." 
(The book doesn't tell you how to do that by the way. 
It assumes the reader knows.)

She related to me that while reading that first chapter 
she became exquisitely and vividly clear about her "WHY". 
It had to do with having more time to spend with her 
precious children. 

She then made this startling statement:

"I never read any more of that book. I put it down and 
just went and did it." At the time we were visiting, 
her income was in the high 6 figures and only took 5 or 6 
years to generate that kind of cash flow in her MLM business.

Everyone she tells her story to wants to know what the 
"it" was that she went and did. They are ready with pen 
and pencil to write down whatever she says because they're 
gonna go do it!

What was the "IT"? 

That's the problem with most successful upline. They can't 
clearly define what the "it " is so guess what they do? 
They fall back on the standard techniques taught which 
includes goal setting, affirmations, reading this or that 
book, etc. but that is NOT what they did to get where they are!

So, what the heck is the "IT"! 
Somebody tell me, PLEASE! 

Well here is what it is NOT. It is NOT great products with 
incredible testimonies that are sometimes nothing short of 
miraculous. It is NOT a lucrative compensation plan or 
wonderful, attention getting, company story. These things 
ARE, indeed, crucial to anyone's success BUT if these were 
all it took to become successful everyone would be making 
money... and they're not. A few make a lot of money with 
them and others (most) don't. Ergo it can't be these things alone.

THEN WHAT IS IT???? 

Are you ready for the truth? Are you ready for that breakthrough 
that has been holding you back for months or years? 

OK, here it is... It's the ability to build an organization 
of distributors who are doing three things 1) using the products 
2) getting others to use them and 3) building their own 
organization. DUH! <grin>

If you don't learn to do ALL three you are destined to be 
a happy product user without much, if any, income from those 
great products that you know and love so much. 

The question now needs to be... not what do I need to DO? 
Everyone KNOWS what to do. (See 1 through 4 above) the 
question needs to be what do I need to BECOME to build an 
organization of business builders?

I have had an organization of over 50,000 people so what 
I am sharing with you is not theory. I saw single mothers 
earning $10,000 to $30,000 a month and others with seemingly 
far more skill and time earning NOTHING! 

I had to find out why.

Why did my sponsor never get past the $1,000 a month mark 
(which he received mostly because of me) and I went on to 
become the top income earner in the company? We all had the 
same opportunity, comp plan and products but those who earn 
serious money had something else going for them in addition 
to what the company offered them. (To me serious income in 
network marketing is anything over $2,500 a month)

What was that something else? I soon discovered that it had 
to do with things WITHIN them! 

And the beauty of what I have learned over the years is that 
we all already have that "something else" and, in fact, are 
already using it in many different ways. Some enjoy it in 
full blossom and for others it is in embryo - but nevertheless 
it IS there and CAN be developed. 

In future newsletters I will discuss these vital attributes 
and characteristics in great detail and tell you how to 
acquire them or develop them to the point that they are 
causing you to function at a high level of achievement. And income. 

Don't be discouraged if you don't know how to get these things 
because I will share with you how to get them. It might take a 
while but so what? Let's get started now.

Here are some of these essential things and characteristics 
successful network marketers have:

** You MUST discover your Core Desires (your real Why) 
which unleashes your Conquering Force so you will be 
able to demolish all barriers and obstacles in your way. 
My tape program can help you do this. 

An old Welsh proverb says, "The hand will not reach 
for what the heart does not long for." What do you 
really long for? You must know or you will not excel.

** You MUST believe you are worth listening to. That you 
have credibility. Today. Now. Not when you are earning 
a big check for you will never get the big check until 
you have this paradigm of YOU.

** You MUST believe that YOU are capable of leading 
others to financial success even though you haven't 
done so yet yourself.

** You MUST talk confidently about the business not 
just the products. BOTH are crucial to generating 
income. Most only talk confidently about the products. 
That is not wrong but it is only half of the business.


There are more but this is enough for now. These are the most 
important ones and as these are acquired the others sorta just 
come along.

Success is not OUT THERE in some company, product or success 
technique. Success is an inside job so that is why I focus on 
the DNA of all success, the building block for all success. 
It is the root cause of all achievement. Once you master that 
you can apply it to anything your heart desires and you will 
not only excel but also have a ball doing it.

I know what you are saying in your mind right now.

But I don't have the necessary skills. But I am shy. But I 
don't have the time. But I don't have enough money. But I am 
not comfortable in front of people. But I don't know how. 
But I have no confidence. But I don't know what to say. 
But I am JUSTA single mother, nurse, secretary, carpenter, 
waitress, real estate agent, plumber, heating and air 
conditioning guy, doctor with no business sense, bellman. 

Far too many people have big buts... in the way. 

You are JUSTA human being - and a human being has unlimited 
potential so don't ever say you are "JUSTA" anything. What 
do you want to be? That's the question to ask.

By the way... I listed those professions because I personally 
know people from each of those who are now earning a six-figure 
income in network marketing. Hmmmm. What do they have you need?

They know their Core Desires and have 
ALL of the above characteristics. 

One guy told me with great heaviness and discouragement in his 
voice that, "I must not be cut out for this kind of business or 
else I would have had more success by now." 

My immediate response was, "Well, Bill, when you were cut out, 
what exactly were you cut out for?" You see we are all cut out 
of the same cloth so to speak. We are all human beings with 
the ability to learn whatever we want. We can add to our 
personalities or take away things that are holding us back. 
We can knock off the rough edges so we can roll smoothly...
or not! It is your choice.
